Project Objective

Avestud, originally a web-based e-education platform, enables students to enroll in courses, access syllabus content, take tests, and track academic performance. As mobile usage among students continues to grow, the goal was to redesign and optimize Avestud for mobile devices, providing students with anytime-anywhere access to their learning journey.

Objective

• Adapt the existing web platform into a mobile-first experience.
• Preserve core functionalities while simplifying user flows for smaller screens.
• Ensure an intuitive, fast, and engaging user experience on mobile.

Discovery & Research

• Analyzing existing web flows: identifying what worked well and what needed simplification for mobile.
• Studying student behavior on mobile: frequent short sessions, quick content access, and need for easy navigation.

Challenges & Solutions

• Challenge 1: Complex web flows didn’t translate well to mobile.

Solution: Re-structured multi-step processes into linear, progressive screens with clear CTAs

• Challenge 2: Displaying large amounts of information on limited screen space.

Solution: Prioritized key information, used collapsible sections, and implemented progressive disclosure.

• Challenge 3: Ensuring consistency across devices.

Solution: Adapted design system components for mobile while maintaining brand consistency with the web version.
